LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Arkansans are responding to the new law banning abortions at 12 weeks. Responses are mixed.

Kandi Cox knows what having an abortion is like -- it's something she says she regrets to this day.

"This is the time of year I chose to have an abortion," said Cox.

But not every woman agrees with Cox.

Jan Gerber also had an abortion and says she has no regrets about her abortion.

"I do not," said Gerber.

Their experiences lead them to different viewpoints on the state legislature rejecting Governor Beebe's veto of the 12-week abortion ban.

"This is a day we can stand and say that we in the state of Arkansas, we stand for life," said Cox.

Lawmakers now gear up for a legal battle over the issue, which both Cox and Gerber expected.

"I stand for choice. I stand for the little girl who feels her voice has been taken away from her, I'm 60 and I'm older and I want to say to that little girl, you do have a choice," said  Gerber.
