Update (March 6):
SEARCY, AR - The White County Sheriff's Office has made a second arrest in a home break-in Monday in Judsonia on Dam Site Road.

Jesse Rayburn, 29, of Searcy, is accused of waiting for the homeowner in the lower level of the residence where he eventually shot the homeowner with a bow and arrow. After the struggle that followed, deputies say Rayburn sprayed the homeowner with mace before running away.

Rayburn was booked into the White County Detention Center late Tuesday and charged with Residential Burglary as well as a Parole Violation and warrant from the Searcy Police Department.

Rayburn is being held on $100,000 bond.

His court date has been set for May 7th.

Original story (March 5):
LITTLE ROCK, AR - A Judsonia man was shot with an arrow when he walked into his house during an apparent burglary attempt Monday afternoon, according to the White County Sheriff's Office.

The arrow did not have a tip and therefore the victim was not seriously injured. After a physical altercation, the homeowner was sprayed with mace by the bow and arrow wielding assailant, and the suspect ran away from the house.

Later that night, the victim heard noises in the lower level of his home, and deputies found 34-year-old Johnny Whaley and arrested him for residential burglary. The sheriff's office says Whaley is associated with the other suspect.

The archer has been identified and formal charges are pending. Whaley, already out on $50,000 bond for Theft by Receiving as well as Possession of Narcotics, is in the county jail on $150,000 bond. His next court date is May 7th.
