Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas is celebrating 40 years of matching up young boys and girls with adult mentors here in Central Arkansas.
The statistics tell the story of the importance of mentoring young people:

46% are less likely to begin using illegal drugs
27% are less likely to consume alcohol
52% are less likely to skip school and classes
33% are less likely to engage in acts of violence
