The Grant County Sheriff says he has no comment on the petition calling for his removal from office.

Sheriff Ray Vance told ArkansasMatters.com on Tuesday that he would respond to that petition filed by a special prosecutor.

The petition surrounds his misdemeanor conviction for falsely getting a Kansas license so he could hunt there.

Vance said on Wednesday that he will not comment on the situation, and referred us to his attorney, who did not return the phone call as of 5:30 Wednesday evening.
