Police in Memphis are asking for help in an investigation into the murder of a former UCA basketball star.

Jimmy McClain played for the bears in 1986 and 1987. The one-time standout was killed inside his home near Memphis last week.

Investigators in HAZMAT suits were at the scene still gathering evidence on Tuesday, and now police are asking neighbors for help in the case.

"I think they just want to know if we were nearby and if we saw anything come or go - anybody come or go, anything happen, hear anything," a neighbor says.

McClain was a high school teacher and assistant basketball coach in the Memphis area.
