MAYFLOWER, Ark. -- The former chief of Mayflower Police pleaded guilty Wednesday morning as part of a plea deal.

Billy Baker pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor tampering charge.

He's accused of sending fraudulent paperwork for radar training for his officers.

Baker must pay a fine, has been decertified as a law enforcement officer, and will be placed on probation.

His lawyer says if Baker completes his unsupervised probation for 1 year, the case will be dismissed.
