West Memphis Police Seeking School Shooting Suspect

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Police are searching for a juvenile wanted in connection to a shooting at the West Memphis High School Performing Arts Center Saturday night.

The shooting happened outside the center, which was hosting a Black History Month program, put on by the non-profit Life Enrichment and Development. Police say the shooting started as a verbal incident. The victim, 19-year-old Quincy Sanders, was shot one time in the lower leg and taken to the hospital.

Police are looking for a 17-year-old, with warrants for first degree battery and possession of a handgun on school property. Already in custody is Joshua Joyce, 19, who is charged with possession of a handgun on school property. Joyce is in the Crittenden County jail on $175,000 bond.
