By: Jessica Dean
Updated: February 20, 2013
*Join a small group of volunteers to help adopt a homeless person who wants to better him/herself. This is normally not a long-term project. This approach usually helps people when they have a job interview, people who need immediate medical help, others who need drug rehabilitation. There is a short orientation for such volunteers. Contact Dot Robbins at 501-551-2366 or dotrobbins@gmail.com
*Volunteer for "Dinner and a Movie" offered to the homeless each Wednesday evening at Canvas Community Church 501-414-8177
*Volunteer at local shelters including: Little Rock Compassion Center, St. Francis House, Union Rescue Mission, The Salvation Army and Our House.
