gardasil2008-01-04-1199478169.jpgNo one likes getting a shot, but the cervical cancer vaccine is said to be one of the most painful.

Gardasil is a groundbreaking vaccine that protects against the sexually transmitted disease, HPV -- which can lead to cervical cancer.

There have also been reports of girls fainting after receiving Gardasil, but it's unclear whether that's related to the stinging pain associated with the shot.

Makers of Gardasil say extra virus-like particles in the shot can contribute to that extra sting felt by some girls.
