NLR's Wild River Country Set to Employ 300 for Summer

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: February 13, 2013
It's time to start thinking about a summer job at Wild River Country (WRC) in North Little Rock.

The water park will host three job fairs hoping to fill more than 300 positions, ranging from guest relations, admissions, cashiers, retail, food service, grounds, security, paramedics and lifeguards (information will be available on the lifeguard classes that are taught by WRC staff).

Wages for the positions vary, based upon experience, and start between $7.25 to $9.00. Employees who stay for the whole season are eligible for bonuses. Some additional employee perks include free park admission, private employee events and rewards programs.

The job fairs will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on-site at 6820 Crystal Hill Road, on February 23rd, March 2nd and 9th.

The 2013 season is scheduled to open May 18th.

"We have a variety of positions open throughout the park," said Chris Shillcut, V.P. of Operations for Wild River Country. "We're looking for qualified, enthusiastic and friendly candidates who can provide excellent services to our guests."

Interested applicants should first go to http://www.wildrivercountry.com/apply.html and fill out an application prior to attending the job fair or bring the completed application with them.

Wild River Country was recently sold and is under new management. The new owners have been making improvements and will be offering new services and adding several promotions and special events for park guests and season pass holders.

To take advantage of early bird season pass savings, call the park at (501)753-8600.
