Springdale School Bus Driver Arrested for Child Porn

Updated: February 12, 2013
A Springdale school bus driver has been arrested on charges of child porn.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office arrested George O'Dea on Tuesday afternoon.

After receiving a search warrant for his Rogers home, the county's Cyber Crimes Unit says it discovered more than 500 images of child porn on O'Dea's computer.

He now sits in the Benton County Jail facing several charges.

Benton County Sheriff Kelley Cradduck says the suspect was employed as a school bus driver in Springdale, so this case was expedited considering the daily contact O'Dea had with children.

According to deputies, O'Dea also has grandchildren in the area, but there is no evidence at this time that they are involved in this case.

The Sheriff's Office is encouraging anyone who feels they may have been victimized in this case to please come forward.

Sheriff Cradduck says he hopes this arrest will help send a message to anyone out there involved with child pornography.

"We will target you. We will find you. Eventually, we will arrest you," he says.
