LR Neighbors Prepare for Training

By: Dustin Barnes, KARK 4 News

Around fifty Little Rock residents will be learning how they can make an impact on their neighborhoods beginning, Wednesday, February 6.

They've all signed up for Neighborhood Leadership Training.

It's a free, annual training session for those interested in learning how to handle issues that come up in neighborhoods - like how to report crimes and dilapidated properties.
City leaders say the participants go away making their neighborhoods and the city a better place to live.

"They go back and strengthen their neighborhood associations.  They go back to their neighborhoods and successfully complete projects or initiatives to make neighborhoods stronger," Assistant City Manager Bryan Day said.

The incoming class is the highest number of people that have ever signed up.  The city offers the training every spring.
