Another candidate it set to make it official that he's entering the 2014 Arkansas governor's race.

In an email to his statewide supporters, and through a phone call with KNWA, Little Rock businessman Curtis Coleman said that he will officially declare his candidacy for governor at a news conference at the State Capitol on Thursday, February 21.

Coleman is the founding CEO of Safe Foods Corporation, an international food safety company headquartered in North Little Rock and Rogers, and chairman of The Institute for Constitutional Policy.

Coleman is no stranger to Arkansas politics. He sought the Republican nomination for Senate in 2010.

Coleman is the first Republican candidate to set an official announcement date.

Former congressman and Homeland Security official, Asa Hutchinson (R), who ran for governor in 2006 and lost to now Governor Mike Beebe, said he intends run in 2014 but has yet to officially announce his candidacy. His announcement is expected soon after he finishes his work with the NRA's school safety initiative, which should be finished up by the end of March.

On the Democratic side:
Attorney General Dustin McDaniel, the presumed frontrunner at the time, announced he would be leaving the race in January after it was discovered that he had an "inappropriate relationship" with a Hot Springs attorney. Literal minutes later, former Lt. Governor and U.S. Senate candidate Bill Halter announced his candidacy for the office.

Halter is currently the only candidate to officially file the necessary paperwork to run for the office.
