President Bill Clinton came back in town Saturday (1/26) evening thanking a special group of people that helped him on his way to the White House over 20 years ago.

A lot of people are proud looking back over the years at what they've done. They're called the "Arkansas Travelers;" an essential piece of the campaign puzzle putting together President Clinton's push for the democratic nomination in '92.

One central theme of the night, putting all partisan politics aside, was pride. It seems that same pride and personal relationship each person in the Great Room of the Clinton Presidential Center had with the man of the night, is the same stuff that helped President Bill Clinton reach the White House two decades ago.

The message of Saturday night, making politics personal.

For one man there, the journey to the accomplishments in the nineties, culminating in the Arkansas Travelers exhibit honored, started quite a long time ago.

Joe Purvis laughed, "... I've known him as long as I've known anyone on this Earth."

Purvis was part of it all

"Arkansas Traveler, gosh, to Kansas, Louisiana."

The emotional memories for Purvis came flooding back when President Clinton took the stage.

He honored those in the room and the dedicated "Travelers" no longer with us.

Sharing the stage with the leader of the Travelers, Sheila Galbraith Bronfman, he continued the same message throughout the night. The mission so many "Travelers" worked hard on, what seems to them like so long ago, that they'll cherish forever.

Purvis said with a happy grin on his face laughed again, "It's a cool experience..."

There were even a couple mentions of the "Travelers" possibly getting back to work again helping another Clinton in 2016.

President Clinton did mention his wife who wasn't there saying she's recovering well and going to be back to normal soon.
