Routine Traffic Stop Yields 1.5 Grams of Meth

A man and woman from Cabot are in jail after a sergeant found drugs during a routine traffic stop.

According to the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office, 38-year-old Toby Lee Fitzhugh and 38-year-old Karen Renee Nichols were stopped for a traffic violation around 5:00 Thursday afternoon.

The sergeant subsequently found an estimated 1.5 grams of methamphetamine in the form of ice, along with drug paraphernalia.

The duo were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
