Update: Alexander Police Officer Involved in Deadly Shooting Gets $10k Bond

Friday a.m. Update:
Nancy Cummings made her initial court appearance this morning, and her bond was set at $10,000.

Her next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 5.


Original Story:
The Alexander Police officer involved in a deadly shooting in September 2012 has been arrested.

Officials in Saline County say Nancy Cummings was arrested and charged with manslaughter.

Carleton Wallace was shot and killed while being searched by Cummings, who says her gun went off during the search process accidentally.

Saline County officials say the Arkansas State Police investigated the shooting and submitted a case file to the prosecuting attorney for review.

Cummings is scheduled to make an initial court appearance on Friday in Saline County District Court.

seems to me the person that is just as much responsible is the idiot that allowed her on the road in th first place. they should both get 10 years minimun!!!
