Pulaski Tech's training lab has appliances and energy pitfalls homeowners can faces, from hot water heaters to windows.
But the lab also has tools to detect problems. It promotes energy efficiency, something utilities and governments are more interested in each year.
"Because it saves them to build another power plant -- that's money they don't have to spend, that's carbon emissions they don't have to worry about," said training specialist Robert Dixon.
The mobile lab travels to colleges around the state to train students to be certified in analyzing energy efficiency in homes.
