A Central Arkansas woman has settled the court case against a police officer she says used excessive force against her.

Serena Washington sued the Jacksonville Police Department after officer Ryan Temple used a Taser to subdue her while her young children looked on.

Washington's attorneys admitted that she was arguing with the officer, but said that didn't justify being tased.

Temple was also reprimanded for hitting a man in handcuffs seven years ago.
