Update (January 15):
The Baxter County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) says the body of the man found in the vehicle that was discovered in Lake Norfork Saturday morning has been identified by the Arkansas State Medical Examiner's Office.

The BCSO says the cause of death report for Charles B. Csiszer, 27, of Flippin, indicates that he died of a single gunshot wound to the right side of his head. The manner of death has been determined to be suicide.

BCSO investigators recovered a Springfield .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun from inside the vehicle, which was a 1990 blue Nissan pickup truck, as well as a box of ammunition.

Csiszer was still strapped in his seat belt and the driver's side door was unlocked, while the passenger side door was locked.

Csiszer had been reported missing on or about October 20th to the Flippin Police Department. His family and friends had not had any contact with him since.

Original story (January 14):
The body of a man reported missing in October has been found in a submerged vehicle in Lake Norfork.

The Baxter County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) says the discovery was made Saturday morning just before 11:30.

That's when someone spotted the vehicle in 10 to 12 feet of murky water off the end of the courtesy dock at the Calamity Beach boat launch area near Clarkridge.

The man's name has not yet been released, but the BCSO says he had been reported missing "from a different jurisdiction."

The body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Little Rock for identification and to determine the cause of death.

The matter is under investigation by the Sheriff's Office. Other agencies assisting at the scene were the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.
