Pine Bluff's former police chief is appealing her termination.

Brenda Davis-Jones filed paperwork asking for a special meeting with the City Council to formally appeal her firing.

In order for the firing to be overturned, two-thirds of the council would have to vote in the former chief's favor.

According to Pine Bluff's new mayor, Davis-Jones was fired because her services were no longer needed under new leadership.
