The Lonoke County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) is investigating after a woman was shot while meeting a man deputies say she had befriended on Facebook.

Harold Ray Moore, 20, is charged with battery in the Saturday night incident. The woman, who was shot twice in the leg, was treated and released at a Little Rock hospital. Her name was not released.

The LCSO says the woman flagged down a vehicle along Highway 165 outside Keo shortly after nine o'clock that night.

Moore and the woman had been on a date, then ended up on a farm road off of Highway 165, deputies say. The victim told them that while parked on the farm road she was attacked, then shot.

Moore wasn't found until Monday afternoon, when he was taken into custody by Little Rock Police and taken to the Lonoke County Jail.
