Lawmakers say they averted the fiscal cliff, but most Arkansans will still take a tumble.

According to the Tax Policy Center, everyone who has a job will pay an extra 2 percent on payroll taxes.

For someone earning $30,000 a year, the increase will be about $50 a month.

Families who make more than $400,000 a year will pay nearly 40 percent in taxes.
