Kids in Stifft Station and Hillcrest were fighting cabin fever by heading to Unite Martial Arts on Markham Friday afternoon.

The owners opened their doors to families. They plugged in power strips for parents to charge laptops and phones, while giving kids a chance to wind down.

"A lot of the kids have been cooped up for days now they really need to work off some energy and a place to play," said owner Tanner Critz.

Unity Martial Arts remained open until 7 p.m. to give people plenty of time to drop in and warm up before heading back out into the cold.
