The identity of the winner won't be known until it is cashed, but the ticket was purchased from B & B Junction on Highway 71 North in Lockesburg in Sevier County. The Powerball winner correctly chose all five white ball numbers, which would normally be a $1 million win, but also added the one dollar Power Play option. That brings the total to $2 million dollars.
"All players who purchased Powerball Millions tickets for this draw at B & B Junction in Lockesburg will want to check their numbers against the winning numbers to see if their ticket is the lucky one," the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery wrote in a press release.
According to the release, the prize can be at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center at 124 West Capitol Avenue in Little Rock. Please call ahead to 501-683-2000 to check for weather-related closings.
The next chances to win big is tonight with either the Arkansas-only Natural State Jackpot at $185,000 or Decades of Dollars with a top prize of $250,000 a year for 30 years. Friday, Mega Millions offers a jackpot of $25 Million, and Saturday is your next chance to win Powerball, like the Lockesburg player, with a top prize off $40 Million.
