Pump Prices Jump After Winter Storm Slams Arkansas

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: December 27, 2012
Drivers across Arkansas are experiencing higher pump prices following the Christmas holiday and winter storm driver. The average price of fuel has jumped 7 cents in the last week.

The Triple A's weekly Fuel Gauge says the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is now $3.04 in Little Rock. This time last week drivers were filling up for an average of $2.97.

The auto club says the climb in prices could be to blame for worries over the looming "fiscal cliff" among other factors.

Nationally, gas prices average about $3.25 this week.

In Arkansas, pump prices range from a low of $3.04 in Little Rock to $3.10 in Texarkana.
