Update 5:45 a.m., Friday
After dealing with ice throughout the last few days, drivers may find a little relief on area roadways.

Fewer ice patches are being reported, but that doesn't mean you're in the all clear.

The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department reports select ice patches on many major roads around Little Rock. You can check out their current map below. Purple indicates ice patches while white means the road is clear.

Update 6:00 p.m., Wednesday
The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department reports slush and ice patches on many of the major roadways across Central Arkansas Wednesday evening.

The AHTD says drivers will experience slush on I-30 in Arkadelphia through Little Rock. North of Little Rock, I-30 transitions to ice patches.

Slush and ice patches are currently being reported up and down I-430.

For the most part, I-40 from Little Rock to Memphis is clear.

Original Story:
One of the questions just about everyone is asking this morning is, "are the roads bad?"

While KARK and state and local officials can't get out and test them all, the answer plain and simple is yes.

Bill Salder with Arkansas State Police is advising drivers to stay off all roadways this morning. A number of accidents including a double fatality have been reported in the last 24 hours.

The Arkansas Highway Department's website that monitors road conditions was down at 6:45 a.m. due to power issues.
