The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for an area that stretches just northeast of Little Rock to the tip of the state. The warning includes Searcy, Batesville, Beebe, Newport, and Jonesboro.

The Blizzard Warning goes into effect at 3 p.m. Tuesday and continues through Wednesday morning.

According to the NWS, a Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibilities are likely which will lead to whiteout conditions making travel extremely dangerous. You are encouraged not to travel.
