A Central Arkansas business is offering educators a free handgun class in light of the Connecticut tragedy.

Rock City Lenders in Little Rock offers concealed carry classes to the public, and is willing to train teachers and school administrators for free.

The class includes how to properly handle a weapon and use it in case they're ever faced with a life-or-death situation.

"If you have someone who is trained, you can greatly reduce the loss of life in a tragedy," Rock City Lenders General Manager Mike Willingham said.

The business is also offering discounts on firearms and ammo to those teachers.

Call Rock City Lenders for more information at (501) 562-5626.
