The Little Rock Police Department is investigating a one-car accident that left a local man dead.

It happened around 1:30 this morning along Confederate Boulevard near the intersection with Willard Street in an area near 3M Road.

Police say Corliss L. Terrell, 18, was headed south on Confederate when he lost control of his 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo on a curve in foggy conditions. The car then slid into a utility pole, throwing Terrell from his vehicle.

He was pronounced dead about an hour later, after being taken to UAMS.
