Police in the River Market may now have a birds-eye-view of crime before it happens.
It's called a "SkyWatch Bucket,"
People in the River Market said the bucket along with what they say is more of a police presence seems to coincide with recent crime.
Angie Huckaby says she's been seeing more of the boys in blue out on the streets of the River Market which is good news for someone concerned for the safety of her family.
Folks we spoke to say it can't be just a coincidence that the increased presence comes with what they say seems to be an increase in crime.
"I do feel safer with it there," said Josh Burks. "Obviously they're going to see more there than standing on a curb or driving around in a car."
What worries folks is that this presence may not be here forever.
"Short lived, temporary," guessed Miguel Merriweather.
Huckaby hopes with the SkyWatch bucket going up, the crime will subside for her family's sake.
"Well I sure hope so," she said. "I really do."
This weekend LRPD has two of them that seem to be on display but may only use them in the future for major events like River Fest and the State Fair.
The two buckets cost the Little Rock Citizen's Police Department $600.
