Some Restrictions On School Lunches Lifted

Officials with the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators (AAEA) said doing away with these strict rules means lunches will still be low in calories, and will keep children from going home hungry.
"We are glad to see the loosening of these and we'd like to see more involvement from practitioners before those decisions are made. And realize we are here to provide for kids and make sure they don't go home starving to death," says AAEA Executive Director Richard Abernathy.
These restrictions have been lifted through the end of the school year.
