Fourth Suspect Arrested in Springdale Robbery, Prostitution Case

By: KNWA-TV, Fayetteville
Updated: December 11, 2012
Springdale Police have made a fourth arrest in a robbery and prostitution investigation that started last month.

Investigators say William Brown, 28, participated in an armed robbery at a home on Crutcher Street.

The incident began online, on websites like Craigslist and Backpage.com, according to police.

The suspects allegedly setup a meeting with a female escort and lured a man to a home.

Once inside, Brown and the three other men charged in the case, who were armed with a gun and screwdriver, jumped out of a closet and robbed the man, police say.

Brown is on parole from Benton County and is also a registered sex offender.

Last week, officers arrested Timothy Counts, Richard Rodriguez and Melvin Cooper in the case.

All four face aggravated robbery charges.

Counts and Rodriguez also face charges of promoting prostitution.
