Original story (December 10):
The Drew County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) has released the names of the victim and suspect involved in Sunday night's shooting in Ladelle.
Deputies responded to an emergency call in the 100 block of Ladelle 5th Street just south of Monticello a little before 8:00 Sunday night, where they found 53-year-old Charles Hewitt on the floor with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation led deputies to Jerry "Wesley" Pryor, Jr., who may have been under the influence of alcohol, according to DCSO.
Authorities say an ongoing feud between the two men may have led to this shooting.
Pryor is being held at the Drew County Detention Facility on charges of capital murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
