Atkins Woman Killed in Horseback Riding Accident

An Atkins woman has been killed in a weekend horseback riding accident.

It happened shortly before one o'clock Sunday afternoon outside of the Atkins city limits in the Lucky Landing area.

The River Valley Leader reports Shavon Davis-Howard, 29, was found 400 yards off of the roadway and taken by ambulance to a Russellville hospital.

Additional details about how the accident happened are not yet known.

Davis-Howard was a 2001 graduate of Atkins High School and was an accountant at Kent Dollar Certified Public Accountants, Inc., according to her Facebook page.
