AR Association Wants to Prohibit Megaphones Within 1,000 feet of Polls

The Arkansas County Election Commissions Association wants to cut the noise at the polls next time you vote.
The association wants state lawmakers to change the law to prohibit megaphones and speaker systems within 1,000 feet of polling places.
ACECA President Susan Inman said a campaigner in Jefferson County during this recent election was blasting campaign slogans so loud voters could hear it inside the poll.
"We're just putting some law in place to prohibit it or prevent it from becoming a problem," she said.
Under the current law, campaigning outside polling places is restricted to 100 feet.
