2 Arrested for Fake Prostitution Ads, Robberies

By: KNWA
Updated: December 6, 2012
Springdale Police have arrested two men who now face robbery and prostitution charges after police say they used online personal ads to arrange meetings then rob victims at gunpoint.

In November, Springdale PD took aggravated robbery reports from three separate victims after they responded to these online ads.

Detectives tracked a telephone number used during the exchanges, which led them to an apartment located at Raintree/Foxfire Apartments. During a search, detectives found property belonging to the victims as well as property from unrelated residential burglaries.

Timothy Counts, 24 (pictured, right) and 22-year-old Richard Rodriquez, both of Springdale, were arrested Wednesday on receiving, theft of property, promoting prostitution, breaking and entering, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They were taken  to the Washington County Jail on Wednesday.

Police expect more arrests.
