Man Accused of Killing Innocent Bystander Surrenders to Police

A well-known high school quarterback who was wanted for a shooting death in Arkadelphia has turned himself in.

Police say 21-year-old Jarvis Purifoy shot and killed 25-year-old Jerome Caldwell after a fight outside a downtown business early Sunday morning, although he was not aiming at Caldwell.

Authorities had been searching for Purifoy since Sunday.
