The Arkansas School Board Association met in downtown Little Rock Thursday, where North Little Rock School District officials presented information on a successful millage that passed last year.

The district said it was information sessions, strategic planning and community engagement that made this happen.

One school board member said it is also evident that the schools are old and in need of upgrades.

"Technology is the key that will benefit teachers, as well as students," said Dorothy Williams.

The district presented its plan to other Arkansas school district officials.
