Update: Three More Conway Restaurants Fail Alcohol Compliance Checks for Serving Minors

Update (December 20):
Conway Police continue alcohol compliance checks in hopes of seeing more compliance from local businesses.
Using a 19-year-old informant, officers dropped in on 10 businesses Wednesday night.
Of those, seven passed, including: Pasta Grill, ZaZa's, El Parian, Brick Oven, Patron, Casa Mariachi and the Draft.
The following three businesses failed:
This is the third compliance check of Conway businesses in as many weeks.

Two Conway restaurants have failed alcohol compliance checks for serving to minors.
That's according to the Conway Police Department, whose officers conducted the checks during a four-hour period on Wednesday night.
Conway Police routinely check to see if businesses are serving alcohol to minors. Last night, officers sent a
19-year-old girl with unaltered identification into 11 businesses.
Nine of the businesses passed, including JJ's Bar and Grill, Old Chicago, U.S. Pizza, La Huerta, Los Tres Portrillos, Chilis, TGI Fridays, Kings and the VFW. Servers there asked for identification and did not serve the teen, police said.
Of the two businesses that failed, at Mike's Place the server did not ask for identification at all but served the girl, while at Michelangelo's the server looked at the girl's ID but served her anyway, according to Conway Police. Both servers were given $250 citations.
Conway Police say the good news is that it's seeing more compliance during the checks.

- A server at Taziki's asked for identification and served the underage informant anyway. The employee at this business which recently opened in Conway was given a warning citation.
- Servers at Outback and Stromboli's were issued citations that carry a $250 fine. The Outback employee also asked the teen for identification and upon being shown the unaltered ID, served anyway.
- It was a different story at Stromboli's that yielded the same result, the server did NOT ask for ID but provided the informant with alcohol.
