Sex Offender Arrested on Child Rape Charges in Monticello

A previously registered sex offender has been arrested for the alleged rape of a 5-year-old child in Monticello.
KARK 4 Content Partner SEARK Today reports that John Paul King, Jr., 28, was arrested in the case last month.
Police say the child's mother told officers the alleged incident happened last summer.
The case is still under investigation by the Monticello Police Department.
King is being held in the Drew County Detention Facility on $25,000 bond.
