Arkansas Supreme Court Rules Against 'Robin Hood' Tax System for Schools

A state supreme court decision on taxes could have a direct impact on your child's education.
In a 5-4 vote, the court ruled against a Robin Hood-style system that would allow the state to take tax money from districts who have more and give it to others who have less.
Chief Justice Jim Hannah says the ruling "obliterated" the way Arkansas schools are funded.
The court's ruling was a win for the Eureka Springs School District, where voters approved tax hikes for education, but didn't want the money going to other districts.

Bravo! Stealing money from one district to give to another never solves any problems. I lived in NJ for several years and these "Poor" districts there were called "Abbott Schools". The state redirected money to these schools and spent between $23,000 and $28,000 per student and still never acheived bettter than a 50% graduation rate and half of the stundents that did graduate were unable to read or write!
BTW Robin Hood never stole from the rich to give to the poor. He robbed from the greedy tax collector and gave it back to the people it was unfairly conviscated from.
