Springdale Man Agrees to Meet Girl From Craigslist, Gets Robbed at Gunpoint

A man told police he was roughed up and robbed after arranging to meet up with a girl he met on Craigslist.
Springdale police said they responded to a report of a robbery around 3:30 Wednesday morning at the Heritage Inn on West Sunset.
The victim reported that he had been talking to a girl he met on Craigslist and they arranged to meet at the Foxfire Apartments. When he pulled into a parking spot, he said three men with bandanas pulled him out of his car. One pointed a silver handgun at him, and then struck him in the face with the gun, according to the report.
He told police the men pulled him around to the back of the complex, where they took his cellphone, wallet and car keys, even removing his socks and shoes to look for money. He said he then ran a few blocks to the motel.
Police found socks and a red hat near the pool at the apartments. They also say the victim's car was still there and appeared to have been rummaged through. A CD player had been stolen.
Police continue to investigate. The man was taken to Washington Regional Medical Center for treatment.
