Little Rock, Fayetteville Boast Lowest Unemployment Rates in State

A new federal report shows Little Rock with one of the state's lowest unemployment rates.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Little Rock area has a 6 percent unemployment rate.

Fayetteville has the lowest numbers in Arkansas at 5 percent, Hot springs comes in just above 7 percent and Pine Bluff has an unemployment rate of 8.5 percent.

Arkansas' unemployment rate is up slightly to 7.2 percent, while the national unemployment rate also saw a slight uptick to 7.9 percent.
