A sibling rivalry ended with a man being shot in the leg in Jefferson County.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a shooting on Olive Street in Altheimer where they found 27-year-old Willie R. Murry a few blocks away with a gunshot wound to his right leg.

Initial investigation discovered that Murry was shot after a fight with his sister, 30-year-old Depreshia Moten turned physical, according to reports.

Murry was taken to the Jefferson Regional Medical Center emergency room with non life-threatening injuries.

Moten was taken in for questioning, then transported to the W.C. "Dub" Brassell Adult Detention Center where she was booked and held on probable cause for felony charges of first-degree battery.

Her bond has not yet been set.
