Update (4:00 p.m.):
Little Rock Police have identified two of three suspects arrested today after one of them tried to cash in allegedly stolen lottery tickets.

Cedric Qualls, 21, of Stuttgart, is charged with lottery fraud, theft by receiving and escape.

Also charged are Paul Reed, 23, and an unnamed 16-year-old boy, both of Stuttgart. They are each charged with 114 counts of lottery fraud and theft by receiving. A third man found in the room with them was released without charges.

Police say the men and teen were found inside a hotel room with more than $700 dollars in stolen scratch-off lottery tickets, a stolen gun that was found in the room's microwave, and more than $300 in stolen cash.

The tickets, gun and cash were taken in a business burglary in Stuttgart, according to police.

Original story (11:30 a.m.):
Little Rock Police are investigating after a man tried to cash-in allegedly stolen lottery tickets.

Officers were called to the Mapco store at 12th and Fair Park shortly after nine o'clock this morning after a cashier learned from the lottery commission that the tickets were stolen.

The cashier had locked the man who brought in the tickets inside the store until officers could arrive.

He was taken into custody but got away in handcuffs before police could get him inside the patrol car.

The man was found at the nearby LaQuinta Inn, along with three other people and a number of lottery tickets. All four were taken into custody.

Police are not yet releasing details on who has been arrested in the case or where the tickets had been stolen.
