The switch was flipped on holiday lights at the Union County Courthouse Thursday night.
Dancers entertained the crowd while dancing to Christmas carols, but the moment everyone was waiting for was the lighting of the Union County Courthouse.
Organizers say this time of year is what folks in El Dorado look forward to.
"It's a lot of work, but it pays off seeing all the visitors that it will attract," says Mark Givens, Executive Director of Main Street El Dorado.
Tonight through Sunday, there will also be free horse and carriage rides and free train rides for folks to enjoy through the downtown area.
