Byetta Warning

There is a warning for people on the type 2 diabetes drug, Byetta.

The Food and Drug Administration says the drug appears to be associated with acute pancreatitis in some people. Experts recommend patients on Byetta who experience severe abdominal pain seek immediate medical attention.

Byetta’s maker agreed to include information about this apparent link on the product’s label.
