Update: Power Restored Between Bryant and Benton

Update:

Crews have restored power to the nearly 11-thousand customers who were in the dark for about four hours.

A tree had fallen on a transmission line in the woods two-and-a-half miles from Vimy Ridge Road.




Original Story:

 Entergy Arkansas says a tree has fallen, damaging equipment and cutting power to thousands of customers near Interstate 30 between Bryant and Benton.

A repair crew is working to restore the power.

Entergy estimates that the lights will be back on in the affected areas by five tonight.
