Jayden Loy, 6, excels at most sports so his parents didn't hesitate to let him hunt right next to his uncle last weekend.

"Since it was youth hunt weekend," said his mother Jennifer Loy-Alston.

To no one's surprise Jayden killed his very first deer, the very first time he tried.

His proud parents took a picture familiar to every skilled huntsmen, kneeling down holding the head of his kill. They then, posted it to facebook.

"Ya'll reposted it and no one agreed with it," Loy-Alston said.

The photo set-off a firestorm with comments pouring in of people who did not agree the photo was a depiction of responsibility and courage.

"They were calling him a serial killer, compared him to Jeffrey Dahmer," she said.

Extremely harsh accusations for a little boy so timid, his eyes welled-up when our camera made him nervous.

His mother said the comparisons to serial killers angered her to say the least.

"For one he's only six-years-old," she said.

She doesn't believe the people who jumped to such extreme conclusions consider where many of the products they use come from.

"The shoes on their feet the belts around their waist that all comes from animals."

Jayden knows nothing about the controversy his picture created and his parents want to keep it that way.

Instead he simply knows his parents are proud he was successful at something he had wanted to accomplish.

An important lesson for any six-year-old.

The family also wanted to make clear they used the deer for meat, something they said man has done for centuries.

Really!? I am blown away by the middle school mentality of people. Makes me disgusted to even be of the human species. I was once told to pick your battles wisely apparently all of us were not so lucky. Have we become so sensitive that we have forgotten our roots?????

Seriously people...are you kidding me?!? I mean really look at some of your newspapers...every week just about there are pictures like this all through it. Ages from young to old, men and women. So come on you tree huggin hippies and animal rights advocates. Why don't ya try helping animals in shelters and keeping stray animals out of the roads. I mean if you were to drive down the Arkansas roads around here, you'd be cryin the entire trip, because the suicidal idiots just jump and run out in the roads. I ran over a skunk one morning on the way to work, on the way home this afternoon I ran over a snake...I guess I'm a Jeffrey Dahmer too...give me the death sentence. Stop being so sensitive about everything and really think about what you say before you say it...WHEN YA GET THROUGH!!!
