At the First Christian Church off Mississippi, volunteers got groceries together full of everything needed for a Thanksgiving meal, including, of course, the turkey.
Many of the dozens who picked up their food have served in the military, even some who were volunteering.
"I was so blessed and feel bad for them that they're going through tough times, and I know many probably suffered more than I did so it makes me feel good," said Vietnam War Veteran John Knuteson.
In total, the food pantry handed out 90 turkeys to those who needed them.
